When I met Xavier Romero in July of 2019, he'd been given 1 week left to live. He was suffering from a rare form of liver cancer and doctors had given up hope. After hearing his story, I knew I wanted to meet him. Little did I know Xavier would beat all the odds and that we would get to know each other and become brothers.
Over three months of getting to know him, he taught me about what it means to fight for your life, to love unconditionally and to appreciate every single breath. He always wanted to start a ISvid channel and I told him that no matter what, his story would be told. He took comfort in that. Here is that story.
I know he's here with us. I know he's watching this video and smiling at these beautiful moments we got to spend with each other. I miss him and I know I'll see him again one day.
Thank you for watching. It means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to him.

This was so hard to watch. My best and closest friend died from cancer in January 2019. We've spent together almost every day from May 2018 till his death. This video brought up many painful memories. Thank you Matt for being there with Xavier. It means a world to people like him. Having someone to share ups and downs which can be so extreme for people like Xavier.

Just finished watching this and I'm still crying while typing this. He's a freaking warrior man. I wish i could give my life to him. But it's too late now. Videos like this always changes my life perspective. I'm turning 20 this year and when i was 18 I've thought of killing myself for so many times. Knowing there are people like Luke and Xavier gives me hope in life. Thank you for this, Yes Theory. I love you guys.

@Yes Theory I have a liver disease which is getting worse and can potentially progress into cancer. I have been told, if this happens, that a liver transplant could be an option. Do you know, in the case of Xavier, why a liver transplant wasn't considered? Thanks for your help

This video, I cannot describe it in words; One word I can say is ‘amazing’. Xavier has taught me that you have to push, and do your best until you achieve your goal. Luke has also had an affect on me due to his overflowing kindness; he pushed through and proved people wrong. The same thing with Xavier. Xavier had proved all those doctors wrong and was determined to keep on fighting even when he wanted to give up so badly. But his cousin was there for him to help him through all this fiasco. Xavier was, and is, a wonderful person that should be remembered as a hard-working spirit and determined fellow. If I were to be completely honest, this had me tearing up and crying exactly like a baby at the end. Luke had flown from Australia to go to Xavier’s residence; that made me feel deeply touched by the fact that he was willing to fly from his home that is across the world. Even if I didn’t know him and hear him in person for myself, Xavier sounded so wise and hard-working. This inspires me to keep on going; and never give up. My deepest condolences to Xavier’s family, may he Rest In Peace. ❤️

This is really sad for me. My grandma died a few years ago from cancer. She had been fighting for almost 10 years. Unfortunately i never got to spend that much time with her and the last time i ever saw her she couldn't even talk or smile. Its crazy how someone who was always so happy and uplifted could be brought that point. She suffered and i hope no one else goes through that. :(
